All animals deserve the right to a happy, healthy environment. Last Chance Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization committed to saving the lives of animals that otherwise would be destroyed.

We have been a licensed 501(c)3 non-profit organization for over 17 years, and have rescued over 27 thousand animals. Most from kill shelters or from research lists. We are diversified in taking in all types of dogs/cats/birds/rabbits - including providing medical, spay/neuter and giving them a chance at life and love.

Heroes Needed

Last Chance Rescue received a call at around 11:00am on 11/17/11 from the Genesee Humane Society. Six puppies had been found in a cinched, plastic garbage bag in a closed garbage can, emaciated and freezing. Later that same day, we received another call from a man on the north side of Flint with four other pups, about 7 weeks old, that were found in a garbage bag in another garbage dumpster with a cinched sack to die alone, cold and starving. Once again, Last Chance Rescue is called upon to help the animals in need from other local shelters and Humane Societies because they know the animals will be destroyed in their shelters. Every week, we are there to assist with these types of needy animals in our state of Michigan.

Our heartflet thanks go out to Pinckney High School National Honor Society who held a Fundraiser for Last Chance rescue and honored us with several donations and gifts of funds! LCR is pround to see our Youth groups supporting animals that are in need, what happens to get these guys to us behind the scenes is hard work but keeping them warm and feed and giving them these gifts allows us to keep going, its all part of the circle needed to give these babies a chance! Thank you!
