paw Where Your Donations Go

Your donations help us to feed and provide medical care to all the animals. All are up-to-date with age appropriate vaccines and dewormed. Adults and some kittens and puppies are spayed or neutered. Feline/luke test is given to all cats and kittens. Dogs are tested for heartworm. Many have been positive and we have treated them prior to adoption.

Some need more medical. For example:

  • Camry is blind in both eyes. She is on eye medication right now to control the pain until her eyes can be removed. We are happy to say that Camry was adopted and had the surgery. You can read about her on success stories. Her name now is Schatze.

  • Happy came to us with a previous injury to his leg. X-rays revealed an old break in the growth plate. The leg had to be removed.

  • Emil is a beautiful and happy cat now who has been adopted and is leading a normal life. He developed a severe eye infection which caused him a tremendous amount of pain. He was only 6 months old when he had to have his eye removed.

  • Then there was Diesel, a beautiful German Shepherd who was crated too much and returned to the breeder. While there, he was kicked by a horse, breaking his femur bone and unable to walk. This 9 month old pup was taken to the vet to be euthanized. He was surrendered to Last Chance who paid for the surgery necessary.
  • Spirit was found with acid burns on her face and part of her body. Last Chance paid for the surgeries to help her. She is now leading a full life as a therapy dog.

  • Baby Ruth came in with a severe case of mange. She is in a foster home and is being treated. She is expected to make a full recovery but her treatment will take time.

  • Baby Update: Hello, my name is Baby. On January 5th, some people from Last Chance Rescue...more Donations can be made to help Baby.

These are only several examples of how your donations have saved a life. These procedures are costly and necessary to the life of an animal. Once an animal comes to us, we do not deny them the medical treatment they need to live a full and productive life as a companion. We can provide this care only because we have supporters like you.

Last Chance Rescue is a 501(c)(3), a non-profit organization. We rely almost solely on donations from caring individuals. We receive no government funding.
